Powersports questions, answered
How do I read an ATV tire size such as 27 × 11 R14?
In Polaris's example, 27 is the tire diameter in inches, 11 is its width, R means radial and 14 is the rim diameter in inches. Check the vehicle fitment chart before choosing a replacement.
Read: ATV and UTV Tire Sizes, Load and Ply Ratings →Is Level 2 armor worth it?
It transmits less impact force, but it is usually thicker and stiffer. Many riders choose Level 2 for the back and Level 1 or 2 for limbs depending on comfort.
Read: CE Motorcycle Armor Levels and EN 17092 Classes Explained →Are hard motorcycle cases waterproof?
Do not assume every case is waterproof. GIVI describes some of its hard cases as water-resistant and recommends checking the exact case and any inner liner.
Read: Hard vs Soft Motorcycle Luggage →Can I charge a lithium battery with a regular charger?
Use a charger with a lithium mode. Some lead-acid chargers have a desulfation or float mode that can damage lithium batteries.
Read: Lithium vs AGM Powersports Batteries Compared →What is the difference between tear-offs and roll-offs?
Tear-offs are film layers that you pull away from the lens; a roll-off system advances a strip from a canister across the viewing area. Check how the chosen system attaches to your goggle model.
Read: Motocross Goggles →Does an airbag vest replace a back protector?
Check the exact vest's conformity label and instructions for its certified zones and any separate protector requirement. Coverage and compatible layers depend on the model.

Helmets and armor are compared on the certification they carry, never on marketing claims of strength.
Each guide says who the gear suits, who should look elsewhere, and what to check before you buy.
Brands cannot buy a review or a spot on a list. Partner codes save you money; they never decide what we recommend.
Prices are dated, codes are updated across the site at once, and pages are revised when a product, standard or rule changes.
